thats terrible, did you get a brand new one?

i got mine back from repair, it looks like to me that they have put a new dvd drive in and they have replaced the covers as it has a different serial no. but if i look at the system info its still my old serial no.

its been working fine (fingers crossed while touching every bit of wood to hand). but i havent given it a good kaneing yet.

Yeah, it was a brand new one.

Will ring them today sometime and sort something out.

Just annoyed though, may consider trading it in against a PS3.

Mine packed up aswell but thankfully Stuart exchanged it and saved me going to Microsoft's dreaded customers services 8)

Well I finally got round to ringing Microsoft again and my god the service is poor. After waiting for 10 mins listening to how important my call was I got on the phone to someone who didnt speak that great English and despite me telling him what was wrong with the console asked the same questions over and over and over.

Had to spell every single letter of my address too !!! Every single letter !! Even though they asked for the postcode and probably had it in front of them when they looked it up.

Have gotta print off a label, put it in a box (not the box the 360 came in though....weird....something wrong with that box perhaps?!!!?) and arrange for UPS to collect. I dont have to pay for this which is one good thing. Asked where it goes to for it to be fixed and got a blank response from Mr Microsoft Adviser.

So in a few days it will be collected and sent off to Xbox Heaven wherever the heck that is and back within 15 days.

Gawd knows what happens if I kill the next one !!!!!

i got mine back from repair a few weeks ago, i think it goes down hampshire way. i think they put a new dvd drive in and replaced the outer casing for whatever reason, i was onit the weekend and had it freeze on me a couple of times, i hope this isnt the start of things to come. i have 3months warrenty aswell but i might take up another years i think.

Well, it got to thurs and still no mail from Microsoft re a label to stick on a box and send the xbox back. Rang them up, waited 20 mins and got another foreigner. Found why I hadnt received it....they had spelt the email wrong !!!! But the laugh is my surname was correct !! My email is gmogle@... and they had my surname as ogle but had spelt it gmogli.....ffs it doesnt take a lot of common sense that the email is the same as my surname does it !!! Especially as I had to spell every letter anyway !!

Was fed up but the girl said I would receive an email in 24 hours and apologised.

Just checked my email and suprise suprise still no mail !!!!!!!!!!!

Gonna ring them again in a mo...3 phonecalls just to get my console sent back.

What a crap service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
