Fair play at having a go and fortunately, your skills at bodywork seem better than your skills at tidying up! I'm sure the bumper will come out nicely particularly with all of the eyes on you.........no pressure ;)

What's next> An indoors paintjob?

as for the paint job yes it will be done indoors cuz its to cold outside to do it and paint wont take to the primer
just have to open the window bit.

I painted a set of lambo door hinges in the porch and that was bad enough. Smell the paint for days.

the bumper is now taking shape after i had to add some corner extensions to it so it follows the angle of the wheel.

started on cutting the pieces to make the corners up
Image

taped the 3 pieces together to keep in place and filled it in place
Image

filled and smoothed off ready for priming
Image

after priming the 2 corners finally got started on painting the parts to be black
Image
Image

the black paint is now left to harden for few days and on monday that will be masked

off and the main paint will take place and then the bumper strip will be cut and attached.

Great job!!

I lack the patience for bodywork and end up rushing it

I did figure you lived alone when i saw the filler and bumper inside the house, my wife complains when i spray in the garage becasue she can smell it in the house, she me degreasing motorcycle parts in the dishwasher once and went spare!!

another up date on the bumper it now is all painted and LOADS of laquer on it to prevent to many stone chips on it and boy did i get giddy from spraying it in the flat think the fish got bit high too

spent 4 hours masking the black bits off and getting right best to get it right first time and be passiant
Image

then proceded to spray the bumper with a load of hase about [-(
Image

took all the masking tape off all of 10min to do  compared how long it took to put on and sprayed the laquer on
Image
Image

thort as im getting good at this bumper making thort id sign this one
Image

all thats left to do now is to fit the black bumper strip then all shell be finished. :-D
