Official: Too stupid to race!

Post by Stuart »

After getting the feedback from Rob at Time Attack and their pricing structure, I have very reluctantly decided to pull out. The combination of my GTR being only near completion (ie still needs bodywork, brakes pads and discs and new tyres) for competition use and the organisers understandably asking for the seasons payment in advance has meant that I had to seriously take stock of my participation. Gutted is a word that I have used a lot lately.

Anyway, as a way of keeping my morale up I decided to look into sprinting as a competitive filler between the bread and butter of UK trackdays and trips to the Nurburgring. Visiting the MSA site all seemed well. I followed the instructions to download and print my license application form. Page one was cannon fodder, page two the same as it was 99% a doctors report but page three (section 4)..............................for the love of God, I simply don't follow. So there you are. Some people aren't quick enough to race. Some people aren't well backed or funded to do it. Me. I'm too thick (and have no backing either)

I will check the guidance notes again and read them when I'm not answering phones/MSN/Pm's emails and serving (as well as telling my 17 yearl old part timer what to do) Maybe I'll do a little better then.
