Just Put A Deposit Down On a Runabout...

Post by MichaelH »

Got a new job in Leeds, although I have enjoyed driving my golf gti I need something a bit more suitable for regular motorway driving. Heavier so it doesn't get blown about, comfier etc...

So... as per title, just put a deposit down on a new runabout car:

New Runabaout

Seems in really good nick and I've always liked them :) Only

Fairplay Michael

You are one of the few that could call a 220bhp 6 cylinder Supra a runabout :) Golf looks sweet and is ripe for a Ring toy for someone....

Cheers Stu :)

Yeah, I guess 'runabout' isn't the most appropriate term! '2nd car' might be better...

Yeah the golf has been a great little car, hate to see it go but I think 2 cars is enough for one person!

Cool - I was expecting some little diesel thing - not a nice shiny supra :)

I did look at diesels, but to get a nice Golf Tdi would have cost a couple of extra grand, would rather get this and spend that money on petrol ;)

Oh yes, and I got it for

Nice run-about mate  .

Why is it that we can't have a car and not think about modding it. I was driving my everyday car yesterday a MGZT 190 and found myself for no reason thinking about having it tuned or re-mapped. :)

The Supra is still set up for jap petrol I think, so I guess I'll need a remap, but if I'm doing that I thought I might as well check out the price of induction kits and exhaust.

Thats it though, nothing else.

Although it would benefit from detangoed lights, and some nice wheels would really set it off.... ;)
