2006 STi Spec-D - - Pictures Added!

Post by AdamP »

Picked it up today!

It passed the '4 people and a set of wheels' test on the way home (collected wheels for the polo).

First impressions.... much much much tighter than the WRX! The springs and shocks are much harder. The leather seats are extremely supportive, and not slippery at all. The lovely burble is much more prenounced even with the standard exhaust. The scoop obscures anything happening less than about 10 metres away  .

Not tested the power, but dad recons it keeps egging you on. Still 926miles to go!

Pictures tomorrow when it's light.

Oooo and more...

Subaru have finally fitted headlights to an Impreza! Glad they got rid of the candles they used to fit! Road noise is horrendous, especially in the back, probably becuase of the track oriented Bridgestones, but we can put up with it for the tremendous grip they give. The Satnav/tracker thing it comes with is pretty good, press a button, talk to a (real) man who programs your satnav to take you where you want to go.

Lurrrrvly.

Oh and one more thing. When it you open a door it sounds like a car, unlike the WRX where it sounded more like a tin can!

I have to say I love the new model too but that low level rear spoiler just doesn't look right. IMO of course.
