Did seriously toy with the AP 6 pot or AP 4 pot system. But the standard calipers have some use before having to go to that point.

I need to sort some brake cooling ducts though just to buy them a bit more headroom.

Some go that route but to be honest I reckon most of it is just cos they have heard that it is good rather than actually needing it. Some have the alcons as a prodrive upgrade.

The brembo "should" be okay but do have a limit. I will upgrade when I hit that limit - not near it yet. The Performance Friction discs and pads should get the best out of the current set up and cost about the same as the OE discs so quids in.

Performance Friction Discs and Pads are now on the car thanks to Gary and Chris at AP Tuning. They make it look really simple to undo the caliper bolts..... I must have loosened them ;)

Sorry the pics are a bit blurry - camera phone :)

==============================
First Impressions:

First junction... where's my f**king brakes !!!
But no probs - changing all pads and front discs takes a while to bed in.

The drive through the narrow lanes down to Snetterton were fun and each time the brakes were used they started to get better - obviously wearing the gloss off the discs and the bedding them in.

There is a proper bedding in procedure that I will be following today to get them working beautifully. They dont work as well cold as the ferodo ds2500 but I am fine with that, and after a couple of applications will be at the same levels of friction. I have been told that they will work great hot too - will have to give them a good try out at Snetterton in feb (if not before :) )

Hope they work well for you Duncan....

I have been following the braking thread on 22b with interest, I think I sit on the side of the camp that would have sold your Brembo setup and went staight to a AP or Stoptech kit, especially becuase of all the track time you have planned) but it will be interesting to hear your findings.
