I had DBA golds on the Skyline GTR with Ferodo DS2500's - a really good combo set up. Prior to this I had all 4 Brembo discs skimmed in Hatfield, did a real good job for

Thanks for your opinion Nik - I was thinking this might happen.

Have you had any problems with the DBA discs? These are what I am looking to fit next year prior to the first event of the year and wondered how they would hold up to ferodo pads and some fairly serious track abuse :)

Duncan the big problem with the impreza STi, newer evos (V>), and the likes of the 350z is ultimately they use a generic Brembo caliper that was only ever designed as a "street" set-up.................

its hugely oversize for its pad profile to give the impression the cars have bigger brakes than fitted.........this can cause a problem when used aggressively on track in that it struggles to expel the heat buildt up, this in turn causes problems for pad material, fluid, etc..............

affects different owners in differing ways dependant on how they use (abuse) their car.............some owners can't believe you'd ever need anything else

Getting my discs skimmed tomorrow at Autotest in Norwich.

Will see if that cures the problem for the time-being until new discs arrive.

Decided against the skimming after having read:

I have therefore ordered new discs and pads today :D
