I NEED SYMPATHY!

Post by Big Shazza »

hiya all, firstly happy new year to everybody!

a little story for you all of my trip to Scotland!
Its mine and my missus first year wedding anniversary on the 5th Jan, so i thought that it would be a good idea to book a hotel for the new years eve and stay for a couple of days, you know enjoy the fireworks and some romantic dinners with the wife! (long time due!) so a 2 in 1 combo, New Years Party and our anniversary!

The other half asked before we left on sunday morning, "why scotland?" i said the fireworks are amazing on new years and great street party! and nice scenery!
The drive in the scooby up to scotland was brilliant! got some pics to follow!
Anyway we got to the hotel and then the storm hit us! Gale force winds! heavy rain it was actually scary at one point! thought my car was gonna take off! Anyway wife was getting ready to go out when the fire Alarm at the hotel went off!!! so we get dragged outside into a bloody tornado! waiting for the fire dpartment to turn up!

we finally left the hotel and went to the restaurant i booked! nice view on a hill, when a branch smashed thru the restaurant window!!!!!!! can it get any worse!!??? left the restaurant...by this time the winds had calm down and no rain, so we thought at least the street party and fireworks will go ahead!!........was i wrong! it all got cancelled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x :x :x :x

So there you have it, welcome 2007! what a waste of money...could have bought my coilovers if i didnt go!

I know Dunk, I thought we said no text type! :) Shazza, can you edit your post?

Sorry to hear about your New Year. You could have popped in to see our Scottish division whilst you were there.......that would have cheered your missus up no end.

I went to Kent with the missus and her sisters girly mates  Did a couple of bars and then the clubs afterwards, got drunk just enough but it was still an expensive night, still, it was worth it :D
