i have spotted some track fodder on fleabay.
thing is some don't drive or need towing for some other reason, i have fully comp insurance, but i think the car can't be in my name?
if i bought a car, techncally it isnt mine and thus insured? or am i talking bo**o*?
anyone know a cheap way to pick up a banger from 30+ miles?
if you tow a car. does it have to be insured?

You are talking bolxxks i am afraid
If the wheels are on the ground it should be totaly raod legal,Tax,MOT and Insurance
On a trailer you will be ok or a recovery truck.
RAC online do short term insurance from 1 day up for just such occasions.
If you get pulled with out MOT etc. you will still stand to get done for driving it.
Used to be the time you fully comp policy covered you in a 3rd part car not many policies do now if you check!
Good luck hunting Liam

Some insurance companies allow you to insure another vehicle for a limited period of time on your existing policy.
I did this when I bought the GTR. I insured the GTS-t temporarily on the same policy to allow me to take people out on test drives etc whilst I was trying to sell it.
If I recall correctly it was a maximum of 4 weeks temporary insurance but they didn't all have to be in one go.
All this is from memory and I am not sure if all insurance companies do it but Adrian Flux did. Although it was over 2 years ago.
Hope this helps.

The only get out i used to know not sure if it stil aplies is book the car for an MOT
You are alowed to drive a car to and from MOT with out Tax you should be insured tho!
So buy a car book it in for an MOT at your local garage drive it home via MOT station
Of course sometimes something happens on the car just as you get near home and you have to cancell the MOT
Liam
PS The RAC do one day insurance for just such events i have been told.

Be very very careful with Highway. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole and neither will a lot of other people.
Have a read of this (it may take a while though ]http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/s ... hp?t=28074[/url]
