Another Newb

Post by Witwicky »

Hi Folks,

I've just signed up on here after the forum was recommended to me by another user :D

I've been trying to find something like this for a quite a while (I'm a regular user on a number of other car related forums but the influx of herberts more concerned with neon lights and enormous speakers has forced me to find solace elsewhere!)

Hope to make it to a couple of meets in the near future or even better see you at a track day in 2007

I can safely say that this is a neon free zone :D

It makes me sad to go to performance car shows and see cars with audio set ups. When I was in my formative years (yes a long time ago) these were about speed and handling and using the cars - this is what we strive to get back to :D

Ban the Sub Woofer !!!

I am sure that some people have great audio set ups but that aside we all have a love of using and abusing our cars in the right way :D

Welcome :thumb:

A kindred spirit eh?

Welcome to the forum. Would you care to expand upon your interest in cars......what you drive, when you drive etc? We have a plethora of events lined up in 2007. Some static (Goodwood) and many dynamic (a few UK circuits, Santa Pod, The Nurburbring etc)

Hope to meet you soon.

Look in the profile guys~ interests include trackdays, the Nordschliefe and using his mark one Golf :thumb: (I was trying to tease the info from you Witwicky, to post in your intro thread)
Perhaps you could add some spec and photos in 'your cars' ?

Welcome to BigPower fella,

Ive had 2 Mk1 Golf GTi's one normal, one clipper but both running decent suspension, strut braces, brakes and unduction/exhaust - I thought they were great cars, although the wheels did occasionally fall off my original hardtop !!! (long story !!! lol)

Seeya at a meet soon,

hello and welcome, i loved my mk1 golfs and i have had a few over the years, one of them was completely stripped with coilovers and a reworked 16v engine, was quite entertaining, they are great fun to drive once the brakes are sorted out there terrible as standard, i look forward to seeing a mk1 on track
