Now that was a nice way to spend a day :D :-D

It was the first time I had driven the Supra on track and it was a riot, it was perhaps not the ideal conditions to pop its track cherry with me behind the wheel on one of the first sessions :o :o .........one word SLIPPERY!!!! I had Paul (V-limited) behind me and he was taking bets on which corner I would slide off with his passenger :D I think I managed a few before I thought "lets see what happens when I push this pedal a little harder" :thumb: ..........I'll tell you what happened....the very nanosecond I pushed the loud pedal half a millimeter the good old rear end swung round to have a look at the front and then the front wanted some more action so returned to the front.....then we hit the grass which just speeded up the 360's :bandit: . Paul says he has it on cam so should make hilarious viewing!

The funniest thing about my off was Ian driving by me and giving me the thumbs up because I had just driven past him when he slid off at 4 mph and done the same to him :P .......In our defence it was like driving on ice and the later sessions saw the track dry up nicely 8)

On the second session with Trev now piloting the Supra the track had dried enough for Trev to really lean on it, I mean REALLY lean on it, and the old bus in his hands is so enjoyable to be in. If you are nervous then it is probably not the best place for a joyride  Everything was going sweet as a nut and we were chasing down Steve in the 'VR racing' golf, so if you know Steve then you will know Trev was really pushing the Supra, and then Trev said the fatal words....."I'm going to give it abit more shit and try and do him" (which means 'I'm going to try and overtake this gentleman  )...he said this at the bombhole and not more than 2 secs later we were doing a swan lake and midway through the smokey doughnut Trev slammed it in first and carried on where we left off....nice :-D

It was always a laugh standing in the paddocks with the boys and ribbing each other over one thing or another. 2007 looks like being a good year on the events front for BP whether its chasing lap times or chasing tenths on the strip or just doing graceful spins like Trev and I :thumb:

Unfortunately I kept up my tradition of leaving the tarmac at every trackday I do  .....what I lack in raw talent I make up for in enthusiam

If you mean Rex and his 550bhp Grey pearl R33, I can only imagine you may have been pushing a little harder than he was  Your comment goes back to a conversation that Martyn and I were having earlier in the day though and the way different cars deliver their performance, but that's another story for another thread.

This was the 1st time I have used the Clio in anger. In fairness, on my 12.00 outing, all I wanted was to be back in the R34. But at 2.30, with a dry track, the Clio came to life (even with bags of oversteer) and it was nice to have a little run out with Ian.

All in all, a great day with great cars and great like minded people!

Great write ups, not sure I can add too much more to them. Thoroughly enjoyed the day (even though there was a scare at the end of the day, I started the car up to go home and loads of smoke came out of the exhaust, seemed ok after that but will be getting it checked soon) and makes everything I've been through this year worthwhile.

Thanks for the nice comments Stu, but I'm going to have to make a slight amendment! Jo laughed heartily at your comments when she read them re: joint ownership and effort.... I've only just met the girl!

Joking aside, was sad to see and hear about the problems people have had. Best of luck sorting them out, hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to put right.

Oh yes and one last one, an apology to Matt for not being able to find him for my last session after I'd said I'd take him out!
