Sorry guys can have one without the other

The prominent yellow boxes may be harder to identify from next year
MOTORISTS face the return of hidden speed cameras after rules governing their siting and visibility cease to be enforced from April 2007.
Camera partnerships, which include police and local authorities, will be able to repaint yellow cameras to make them blend into the background.
They will also be able to install cameras where there is a speeding problem but little history of crashes.
At present the partnerships are bound by strict rules issued by the Department for Transport. The cameras must be painted bright yellow and be visible from at least 60m (200ft) away. They can be installed only at sites where there have been at least three collisions causing death or serious injury and three causing slight injury within a kilometre in the previous three years.
Many partnerships believe that the rules are too restrictive. Last autumn, Richard Brunstrom, the Chief Constable of North Wales Police, said that many more lives would be saved if there were more flexibility in camera location.
He said:
After the good news comes the bad news
Everyone speeds to some degree mate just some more than others.
I had the skyliine 2 weeks when i got caught and I always lived by the rule never go over 100MPH 98 = 3 points 101 = ban
But i was being a muppet and got caught doing 102.7MPH but with a good solicitor i was lucky and only got 6 points. Tell you one thing I will only being doing those sort of speeds on the track from now on

Time for a jammer i think
If they wanna play dirty then the gloves are off
Will be takin a look at the led number plates too
Would not mind if they were restricted to areas of concern
Built up areas etc. But you can guarantee that any nice long stretch of road out in the sticks will now have a tree shaped camera beside the road.
More revenue for the government to squander
Does make you wonder if it is really worth while having a fast car for the road.
Just get a track monkey and be done with it

Well the skyline is gone for good But how cool is my little replacement!!!!! 7lbs 12oz of pure joy....
I still think they need to review the current speed laws - 70 is so slow!.
Econ, I still have my car restricted as I don't trust myself, and I really do drive like grandad 95% of the time - but it's that 5% when you get caught by these damned things!.
I think they need to look at why there are accidents and why as I heard the other day - teenage girls are at more risk of being killed or injured by their teenage driving boyfriends. All too often I'm reading about a car full of kids being killed. Make every male driver between 17 and 19 drive a trabant! ....

I can't see 17-19 years olds being slowed down being restricted to a trabbie - seem to remember having an ancient Austin A40 and still managing to get over 90 out of it (was just stopping that was the problem
Local methods for dealing with inappropriate placed speed/revenue cameras seem to be
1/ Tyre filled with Diesel
2/ Gas Axe
3/ JCB back hoe
There's nothing that shouts "Poor Workmanship" more than wrinkles in the Gaffer tape.....
