he he. yes that M5!! lol.

the clutch was fine and has been since. i had turned the boost back down.

the chap with the FDH said his was doing the same the day before.

its the accumilation of the stoping and starting up to the line and then a little tyre wariming and a good gobfull of throttle.

it was fine on the way home and eversince.

sorry i didn't say goodbye that day. i couldn't find you and russ had to leave.

LOL

Jim is obviously aware im just having fun !!! Its not like I can exactlt hide my own personal deformities !!! :D :D

Not sure about putting an M5 in its place with less than 300bhp in a relatively heavy car, but whatever floats your boat I guess. Thats not saying your Rover isnt a cool little wolf in sheeps clothing though.

to be fair, i only chose it coz it had a turbo. i had little money at that time.

the M5 driver had to pull over cos his *35mph speed wasn't sufficient for my catching up of turbomart and friends.

with the boost upped to about 14psi, i was hitting *60mph!! ( clock speed )

i don't want to come across as defending the rover. its a good tool to learn about turbocharged cars and the need for 4 doors for my 4 kids was a good choice i think.

as i said its gonna be ajap turbocharged car again next year. which or what i've yet to decide. only driving them will tell. and until i have the cash i don't want to upset myself!! lol.

i hope to meet most of you during the meets that take place. roll on april 2007!!!!

Thats cool.

E39 M5's will easily do 180 mph deristricted, and often "blow" their limiter a tad at upto 165mph, M3's did the same thing !!!

Friend of mine had a 600ti years ago and that was a weapon. In fact another friend had a develpment car from Rover that was owned by one of the directors - an 800 turbo with the newer (T16 I think ??) lump in that had loads of warnings in the manual and the glovebox/fusebox telling people to not try diagnising faults and take it direct to Rover only !!!

That was fairly quick too for a big car.

Best of luck withyour plans next year.

J.:D :D
