luckily I found some part worns in the back of J tuner, only done one track day and they were about

Saying that though Robin and this is with all seriousness - you had a very close moment on those tyres I remember seeing you all over the show when you hit the chicane before the pit straight - was that due to excessive speed and no brakes or tyres going off

:-D :-D that was going round the chicane at high speed and having to pump the pedal 3 times before feeling anything, i reckon it would of been even more of an experiance with the toyos on

Only just saw this thread...

I ran AO48's this spring and summer on my Evo. They lasted 5,500miles by which time the rears were just illegal but the fronts were still very good. They are awesome on dry roads (much better than the AO46's i had before - which a lot of folk say are the best tyres for the Evo 8MR) and although i never ran them on the track i can honestly say i had no probs keeping up with some very rapid Evo's one day in the rain on streaming wet B roads at a meet.

I now have T1R's on and i can actually feel the sidewalls flex when i push on through corners (on the road), once they are done i will be switching back to AO48's all year round.

The only downside is that they (AO48's) are very noisy - they literally howl from very low speeds but again they are awesome for grip in my opinion.
