A kinda of follow on ...

http://new.edp24.co.uk/content/news/sto ... 3A25%3A807

Pedestrians were left stunned today after a car plunged from a 3ft ledge and ended up on its roof in a busy town centre street.

An elderly driver suffered minor injuries following the crash, which happened close to the Thomas Paine statue in King Street, Thetford.

The silver Nissan Micra car was in the King's House car park when the accident happened at about 11.30am.

When is some one going to think it's not safe for the elderly to drive Auto's!! .. how often do you read of old people and auto's having stupid accidents!.

The male driver, who is believed to be in his 80s, had been asked to reverse the car out of a parking space by its owner, an elderly woman, when he lost control of the vehicle.

Witnesses reported seeing the automatic shift Nissan shoot forward across a small grass slope and fall from a 3ft flint wall, causing it to flip and land on its roof in Thetford's main shopping street.

One pedestrian, who declined to be named, said a mother and her young child had to take evasive action to avoid being hit.

Thats crazy, that place, the kings house in thetford is where i got married.
There is a lot of grass before that drop, goes to show how slow their reactions are for him not to be able to brake before the drop off.
