BigPower Ring Trip 1 - 16th-20th April 2007 **UPDATED**

Post by duncan »

Okay guys - after much debating this is the official thread for the first proper ring trip of 2007 :D

Dates: 16th April - 20th April 2007

We will be travelling over on the Monday morning red-eye express on the Eurotunnel to get to the circuit for about 2pm and returning on the friday lunchtime eurotunnel to get back home for about late afternoon/evening.

We have picked these dates so as to get some quiet days on track after the easter holidays after getting information from others as to how manic it is over easter.

We will not be travelling in large convoys for this trip (3 cars max) as this proved quite a head ache for the journey and slowed the travelling down immensely.

================================================================

Track Opening Times:

16th 13.00 - 19.30
17th 15.45 - 19.30
18th 15.45 - 19.30
19th 15.45 - 19.30
20th 14.15 - 19.30

These times will give us some great track time and worry free evening socialising :D

The plan is to make a trip out to Michael Schumacher's kart centre on the morning of the 18th if anyone fancies this. (http://www.ms-kartcenter.de)

================================================================

Hotel:

The Ringhaus - Nurburg
about 300 metres from the circuit entrance

We stayed there in September and it was superb ! :thumb:

Total cost for the 4 night stay is approximately EURO 289

================================================================

Eurotunnel

Outward journey : 7.50AM 16th April
Return journey : 14.50PM 20th April

Total Cost

I am still awaiting on confirmation of hotel booking but provisionally booked a few rooms

Eurotunnel will be the method of transport over there - it is quicker than the ferry and was pretty good last time :)

In short - Add yourself if you can be sure you make those dates now :)

Rob - We stopped at the Ringhaus last time and are planning to do the same on this one. It is the nearest to the entrance of the circuit (about 400 metres) and is very well equipped with garage and mechanic too :)

Just waiting for confirmation on pricing/availability.
