Could you run an Evo on LPG

Post by Ben »

The question is not - why would you want to?.

But what is to stop you running either an Evo or Scooby on LPG. Has anyone done this? - or are the engines not able to run with LPG.

you could, but im sure the ecu would need remapping because you need to inject more LPG than petrol for any given situation.

thats how i read it when i looked up on it for a LPG hilux.

Yeah you could do it. There are a few guys with 200SX's running on LPG and making reasonable power.

Ben,

Had the same question with him sometime ago, i said it should run ok, obviously a little slower. But as mentioned earlier in thread it would need to be mapped as the Octane Ron equiv will be different....

By the way, his car has broken down today.. Not sure if its the evo or the rover again....!
