Fireworks on A142 TonyB stylee ;)

Post by duncan »

sure someone must have thought that they were under attack from missiles and flame throwers eh Tony ? :D

Good fun mapping with you today, glad we managed to fill another couple of columns with figures. That beast will certainly fly once timing and fuelling maps are sorted :o

you definitely need some of these night vision goggles though:

LMAO, Yes the headlights on the '89 GT4 are THAT bad. I hope they did not scare you too much Dunk. Big thanks for coming out for a couple of hours, it was a lonely old weekend. But the progress made is GRRRRRRREAT :D

The highlight of the weekend was Duncan jumping out of his skin each time the exhaust went BANG-Pop-Flash -- What a girl :snigger:

I am getting very excited now that I have had a feel for what power is to come. I'll update y'all on Thursday :P

Fantastic software that Tony is using with that ECU, it is great to be able to make a live update whilst travelling along Fast & Furious style.

Unless you have some accurate datalogging, off-line mapping is a hell of a pain. I've put my ROM burner in the loft.

Yeah, we were 'Live mapping' as we were driving. The DTA S60 Pro also has built in datalogging @ 1, 10, or 100Hz - so we were also checking logs before editing lots of the map.

I am glad you liked it Dunk. It is soo much better than software for other ECU's I have seen. Very happy with the DTA so far, but then I do not have direct experience of others...

With the std Subaru ECU it is a lot more involved and cannot do real time changes but from what I have seen is a very good system and allows a lot of control as well as built in controls to protect the engine from det.

Can I ask what it is in yoour spec that makes the car pop/ bang and flame like that then (or is it just the old fueling thing?)
