Boost controller arrived yesterday, looks pretty good and the instructions are pretty noddy so I should be able to fit it no problem. I have fixed the unit to the dash and managed to plum in the pipework through the bulkhead after about an hour of trying to find a place to route it through. Eventually went through the wiring harness rubber grommet in the right hand foot well. Also found out that this controller has two useful outputs, that can be used for applications like Nos or water injection. The unit also comes with a turbo timer. Keep you informed of its performance.

Well the boost controller is all plumbed in and connected. I went for a run out to test it and I think I have the settings all wrong. Also when I was driving normaly my standard gauge was reading less than zero but the boost controller was reading 9 psi, maybe Ihave connected it wrong. Can anyone give me any idea how they are set up? I want the highest the standard turbo will take safely on high boost. Here are some pictures of the unit installed.

GTST's shouldn't be taken over 0.85 bar( 12-13psi) on the standard turbo unless you want to kill it. Can't help as per the actual install but I would have thought that if you're unsure, you may be better off getting a professional to check it rather than blow the bugger up.

thanks for the advice Stu and new about the 0.85 bar limit. I set the high to 13psi and low to 10psi. I haven`t put my foot down yet as I`ve been watching the readings and corresponding them to the standard gauge. So far they are way out from each other. I am wondering if I have the wrong pipeline connected. Tomorrows job is to plum in the aftermarket boost gauge and check what that reads compared to the standard. Judging by the performance of the car the boost controller is lying to me at the moment. Ther was a psrt in the set up process where you can set the boost controller for ambient pressure, and I think this might have screwed things up. Before that at tick over the boost controller was reading -8psi which is more realistic. At the moment it reads 0.0psi on tickover. So maybe I might disconect the power to reset the boost controller and start again. This is where I plumbed in the solenoid and vacuum line to the boost controller, if anyone knows this is incorect feel free to inform me.

Well the good old electronic boost controller seems to be woking great and I`m really pleased with it, she holds the boost well with no spikes, so I`m happy so far.

Knowing what my Asian friends are like it`s probably exactly the same inside, without the badge, but half the price.

I also like its simplicity, 4 buttons and very logical sequence to alter the settings. No press A followed by B and the hold down C its just simple but does the job perfectly.

More than likely :pmsl: alot of the manufacturing is out sourced and many are made in the same factories on lines running next to each other

and they try to deny it when the contractors admit it :^o :pmsl:
