I dont agree with you alex when it comes to the lightened flywheels. They are fantastic but... you have to be able to shift quick enough to enable you to stay in the powerband. It made a huge difference on my delsol. With my shifting, i gained almost half a second and that was with a trashed head too. Flywheels are great but you have to remember, yes they permit you to accelerate faster but they also cause you you de-celerate faster too.

but you didn't have a lightweight flywheel on a ctr how can you comment ?? rev range will be different etc including change over point  think you also wasn't hearing me right i didn't say i didn't like lightweight flywheels full stop :D i wouldn't have brought one one all the other cars i have owned.

I know there purpose and the science behind how they work i.e simple less rotating mass = quicker acceleration and decleration but maybe i just couldn't shift quick enough :D but that was my point have to shift much quicker and let me put it like this i crunched more gear changes and missed vtec much more because of what i would say was too light and the fact that in most hondas you have to keep in that zone to keep at peak torque 8)

why did i change the car you mean or clutch ???

and tara i mean none of that in offence i know what your saying 8)

Just kidding with you mate agreed about what you say as far as rev range but just how high is vtec point on the ctr? and the shift point? surely you wouldnt drop out could you?
I dunno lol. Just remember you saying that the flywheel hurt your times.

only hurt times every now and again, when i got things right it would be great but not a massive difference interms of times, vtec engagement is 5600 i think it's been a while so i can't remember but it was fairly easy to fall out (you had to shift quick and not granny shift :D )
