Nik

if you get the chance it would be great if you could do a blow by blow fitting guide with some photos. I'd like to get some more reference guides on here and that would be a great addition.

Cheers

I'll see what I can do Stu. :) I know it is a bitch to get the filter off (hence the reason for the relocation kit :D)

Its not so much the fitting of the kit its the filter type you need to get right
Gary and i (i am sure he will agree) are of the opinion my choice of filters was a contributing fact to the second rebuild on my engine!!!!
Make 100% sure the filter you fit has a non return valve in it
I think there is a vw one and some nissan ones
Have to look on gtroc cos i have forgotten the part numbers mines been off the road for that long.
The rb runs a pressure system that bypasses the filter if it becomes blocked .
if you let the oil run back to the sump, the resultant air pocket causes enough pressure to fool the engine into doing this.
I ran in a new engine on basically un filtered oil for 500 miles :x

Good luck
Jay
Well the skyline is gone for good But how cool is my little replacement!!!!! 7lbs 12oz of pure joy....

Thanks for that. It's a good job I didn't get it fitted today. :)
I have seen some non return filters for sale somewhere on here I believe. I will have to get one of those. :)

Cheers

Nik Wilson has some K+N filters with NRV's for sale on here, I run them on my Skyline.
The standard JZA80 Supra filters have a NRV in them.
