I love track days but as I am a fairly competitive type ;) ...cue comments from Stu, I feel the need for timed events and having watched at Silverstone this year - was very impressed with the format and the potential for the series.

Welcome to the site Rob.

The main attraction of this style of event is being able to directly compare my car and my driving to the pros. It's that simple. I much prefer circuit driving to the quarter mile (maybe because I'm no bloody good at it) and based on this the need for a more competitive event is becoming clearer all the time.

My car is off the road with several months work ahead to prepare for this and other events. I can't wait for next years 'schedule' and hope that I can meet my own targets in terms of performance for me and the car :thumb:

I think that has been an attraction for most people who competed last year but also I like to draw a comparison with the pod.
I used to go to the pod at the beginning of the year a grab a X.XX second run, but each time you change something to the car you go back and not only battle against others but also against your personal best, the same applies to Tima Attack, the guys who did knockhill, Silverstone etc last year will guaranteed be tinkering to beat the time they put in last year and also chase the big power big money cars.

I cant wait!

Still trying to figure out how to explain the parts i need to her ladyship :P

I would love to but im afraid my car would never be up to pace for this.

Cant stress enough what a great idea this is and this is what its all about.

Is there a season entry fee?

Dear god man, don't give him any more ideas! He'll spend all the money he gets on that Evo and you'll end up sponsoring him to beat you :-D

On a personal note I would like to thank people for all the kind comments about GTBattle, Time Attack and the ideas behind them. Nice to see such a positive vibe towards the whole thing.
