Bit of a weird question this one but having never took one off a car i would not know and i need to improve my knowledge before i build my engine next year.
What does a turbo have attached to it, I know there is a oil feed and oil return line but does a turbo have a water feed and return line as TBH i just dont know
Also where does the oil feed normally come from and if there is a water line where does this come from?
Thanks for the advice and excuse my poor knowledge!
Turbo's
In plain simple terms some turbos are oil cooled and some are both oil and water cooled your stock ones will probably be both oil and water cooled like mine were but don't quote me on that you will need to find out.
My new turbo is only oil cooled so i had to block of some of the old water feeds.
The oil feed should come from the side of the block and into the top of the turbo you'll see when you move things and get closer to the turbo, hope this answers that for you.
