Hi Everyone!!!

Post by M J P »

Great to be here and loving the forum!
Some of you may know me from SC...

I have a 2001 Impreza WRX which I purchased in January. It was mechanically standard apart from a partial De cat and uprated back-box.

After my first dyno day in March I decided that she needed some more power. So after getting a complete De cat and panel filter I decided to have the car re-mapped with Ecutek by Clive Atthowe with great results!

Due to too much unwanted attention (and a small ding on the passenger door) the rally graphics had to go... Followed by the STI spoiler. I bought a spoiler from a UK300 and fitted that also.

I had my first track experience at a charity day at RAF Coltishall which now has me completely hooked but cost me a set of tyres and pads! Also found out how poor the standard 4 pot front brakes can be at a time when they most needed!

I had managed to get a set of Wilwood 6 pots plus discs from a group buy which have now been fitted.

Just waiting now for the opportunity to do another track day!!! Either that or wouldn't mind having a try at sprint/ 1/4 mile.

There are some more engine mods in the pipeline.... just need to do some more research first to see what to go for......

Look forward to speaking/meeting with some of you soon

Thanks for the welcome!

I will have to give the Cadwell day a miss for now.... But look forward to joining you all at the meet!

Could well be up for some impromptu days though. :-D

Was at the Pod for the RWYB but decided not to run due to waiting times. :(
