RWYB 15th October Review

hi all

ive had the dubious pleasure of visiting santa pod about 5 times now, and its been the same every time (for the past few years)...you squeeze in 3 runs during an entire day, the queues are phenominally long, the surface very slippery and bugger all time to stage (not that it matters if youre just racing yourself)

i really REALLY think a PB 1/4mile event at snetterton would be great, if its possible at all

edit: proper timing gear with several speed/time traps will make for an awesome day

my mate did a 12.9 last weekend in his ST165 btw

I am up for a private session but only if the timing gear is offical and its on a preped track.

Today was just a typical day at Santapod

never starting on time, horrendous queues and a very slippy track!! ... but anyway here's a few pics from today..........

Must admit that was probably the poorest day I have had at the pod - not very organised at all by the crew. It was great seeing Max 1 and Matt race but was gutted I couldn't stay long enough to watch all of you as I had to get my daughter back home. It was still great to see all who attended but must admit I did feel for you but can assure you it wasn't great for the spectators either
The best days we have had up there in the past were on Webster track days but unfortunatly he has stopped doing these due to the cost. You could run as many times as you liked as there would only be a handfull of cars there over the whole day on a fully preped track.
The next best event to attend is the Peak Performance days, this costs about

Mart, excellent photos - especially the ones with the sign in the background - very arty.

The more and more I hear about Santapod - the more I think i'll give it a miss!.

Sure, where do I send it to Dunc ?........The pictures weren't taken in the highest resolution though, but still a lot better than the one posted on here.
