Lot of choice i would say Evo 6 would be very bottom end likely to be a poor car (some good ones do come up)
Just spent a lot of time looking with Benny on here for E5 and E6 you will find a far better spec/condition Evo 5 and have a little change
Liam
Any advice?
The 5 & 6 are almost the same just styling for a little more you can get a well prepped E6 with some nice mods
The Place to look at cars for sale is the MLR i am Regional Organiser for them so if i can answer an Evo Enquiery i will.
An Evo gives reliable and tunable performance and a very good chassis out of the box, if you want a closer look catch up with me at the next Big Power meet

Paul,
Fair enough mate,
I would still say spend 8k on a 3dr just so you can say you have had one, and keep the SX.
You should easily get an E6 for 10k. With the greatest respect to Laim, most people on the MLR live in a dream world of depreciation less motoring and the belief that 6 year old cars are still worth almost half of what they were when new. Fair play, I have just had to pay half for the GT3 but its not quite the same kind of mass produced car sold in large numbers.
In the real world, Evo6's are 9k for ropey, - 11k for nice, with something mint with a LOT of goodies and zero miles maybe worth 12.5k TME's maybe 13-14k.
Evo5's were only out for a shortish time and almost always suffer from the fact that the Evo6 was better, performance and style and hence are usually alot less, so around 7-10k for the same criteria as above.
You can still find people selling Evo4's like ours for upto

It wasnt a dig fella,
The MLR hardcore - of which you must be one as a rep - are feet on the ground types. Its the ones who buy an Evo because they think its a Ferrari, feel they are now Kings of the universe, and join the Register to congratulate themselves on how they managed to shave an extra tenth off thier best time to Tesco's that tend to be the ones thinking their cars are still worth the same as they paid for them 2 years ago !!! Unfortunately there seems more of them and less of the true enthusiasts like you, Darin, Moses and co !!
I had wondered why the 4's had been getting harder to sell, and I guess that answers it, but I still think 4k depreciation in 3 years ownership is bloody good !!!

I know it was not.
I dont dispute you can get cheap as chips motor but you have to ask why?
I guess i am hard core as the regional rep but not anal :-D :-D
As the need for SVA and the model report fee diapears the cars flood in killing the residuals :?
As you say Evos hold better than many and i feel 1-6 are not far of settled unless you can get a 1 for a few hundred pounds :-D
