When I was in Oman i spent 2 weeks laying targets down in the middle of the desert for the jets to bomb the shit out of for training. At the end of each day we would get on the radio and tell them to do a nice low fly by on us, the trouble is as each day went on the pilots kept competing with each other who could get closest to us!
On some of the flypasts i actually had the sunglasses ripped off my face and had a red face from the heat of the engines!!
Was surreal to say the least!!
Had to get rid of the photos as the pilots was scared they would get in the wrong hands.
