It was a good day but as said the organisation lacked something. The down time was a bit annoying but didnt spoil it.

There were some stunning cars setting some out standing times and although it was not a competition car did anyone see the Charge Speed Supra on the SRB Power stand 8)

My first time on the 1/4 mile and managed a 14.126 with a terminal of 110mph. Really want to go back and have another crack now though.

I saw Bladerunner at the end of the day in the drift arena doing some cool stuff but ended when what looked like the power steering fluid spilling everywhere. Hope its ok.

I didnt get to see any drag action unfortunately.

Had a good laugh on the drift demo's as usual though, saw a few familiar names and faces, nice to meet a few new peeps too. Sorry about the dizziness Tony :D :D

Managed to do three new sets of Yokohamas despite not trying that hard or going out non stop or doing to many rolling burnouts !! :o :o

Fortunately the car only went wrong right at the very end of the day. I was just taking my friend out when the steering (which I thought had felt occasionally weird, but put it down to me not having driven the car for over a month) went heavy for a second and I span, it did it again which I again thought was just me being tired and not on the ball when it suddenly blew loads of grey smoke out the bonnet vent and the car ploughed on - fortunately not when I was fully on drift next to the fence, so there was enough time to stop. I thought the worst for a second, and that I had understeered from oil on the track/tyres from a dying SR20, but the oil pressure was still 5bar+ and the temps were all below 90* when i realised the steering was solid !!!

Got parked up and opened the bonnet to a bit more smoke, nasty smells and power steering fluid over everything !!!! Only a pipe come off we think, but at that point there was nothing to be done, so I just left it and carried on yapping !!!

Car will be back at GBH later and sorted in the next couple of days.

Cheers

J.
