I don't think there will be much use me running because of the clutch not holding when power shifting :? ...........nothing that a new clutch won't cure over the winter :-D

Scott, who is the 'main office jerk'?

If you're referring to anyone that ran at RAF Honington I could produce various excuses (traction, strong headwind etc) but I'm not sticking up for anyone. I for one drove like a knob on the quarter mile, still can't do it for love or money. But at least I was there and at least I ran ;)

Best of luck at the Japshow. Keep us posted :thumb:

Sorry guys I have been let down badly by Pectel, the car was going in to be done Monday and they called Friday and said they had changed their minds as it was only for one car and not a series so they are not prepared to do it :x

Seems that 5000 pounds is not worth their time!!

I have spoken to Dave at Henstead and he said he will fit a Motec system but not for another few weeks

I will still be there to cheer everyone on but will not be running, still hoping to make the dyno day

Driving a fast Jap import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay.

Scott you cheeky fecker - I'm the only one who ran 98, :shoot:

Either way, first launch on my new clutch - so I as being rather careful with it, I brought it out at normal driving revs then accelerated - my second run felt alot quicker with a much better start, I brought the clutch out with higher revs and it handled it nicely - but the timing people didn't know where my timeslip went !!! ... typical.

Any more runners in this?

It is a bargain day and will be great fun with the competition both within BP and also with other clubs too 8)

If you are new to 1/4 runs then dont worry, I am a rookie too and just aiming to get up the strip. Now if I manage to whoop Stu at the same time then I will be delighted but not essential. :D

Any other head to heads?

By the way the best 1/4 mile time will be getting to show off the BigPower 1/4 Mile Champ Trophy :D

I must have forgotten to tell you that I have a trip to Uncle Rons next week Dunk? I'm sure he can help me loosen the leash on a few ponies
