When jacking up an R32, where is the best place to put the jack.
I know that it's a bad idea to put it on the original jacking points - hence why all 32's have crushed sills.

"As a rule of thumb, you can normally jack any car up where a suspension component is attached to the body. But be careful and use common sense - if it doesn't look strong enough then you don't want to try it! As for the crushed chassis rail - it's not a huge problem but IS worth sorting out. Ramps are very good when they have a central support bar that lifts the car up

I might be changing the wheels Ian ... I was actually wanting to jack it up to clean the inner arches on the front and rear ...
I've just dug out the manual - it says you need special lifting pads !! ..
Doh ... I'll have to make them - they are a rubberised block with a central grove cut into them !! ...
