Could always start up 'Big Power Magazine'!

Theres plenty of talented writers on here, and of course an excellent photgrapher...

Only need to suss out a source of feature worthy cars then... any suggestions? ;)

slightly off topic but;

with the advent of the popular internet, forums such as this and owners clubs...arent the "cerebral" car magazines fighting a losing battle?

if there's any information or resource we want, we can find it on countless websites and most of the time its free

the "crap" mags (max power et al) will survive i reckon, because of the yoof fantasising about The Best Saxo IN THE World EVER!!!11 features, but those of us who know better dont bother with mags.

the only time i buy a magazine is if i have a long train journey/nothing to occupy myself with and need something to get lost in for a few hours

i would be interested in other opinions on this :)

You may well have a good and valid point, but I love the tangible quality of poring over the photos, reading professional wordsmiths (and Rob) and the magazines get access to features/cars/products that mere mortals like me can only elude to in our dreams. Nismo festival? Quality D1 coverage? Tech features by manufacturers?

Youare no doubt right Andy, the internet has changed things. Some for the better, some for the worse.

This is a real real shame, it was the best magazine, plenty of useful articles and it wasnt just the 'big tuner' cars like a lot of the other mags seem to be. I love reading about modded RXs and didnt tend to buy any mags unless they had something Rex orientated. J-Tuner changed this and I found myself buying it most months for the technical articles at the back that were written for the complete car novice such as myself.

The mag was fresh, fun, well presented, packed full of great pictures and a darn good read.

I will definitely miss buying a copy.

What is going on with 2006, First Mr Miyagi dying, then Steve Irwin, then Richard Hammonds accident and now the death of J-tuner !!! Very sad !!!

thanks Stu...........I think! :wink: :lol: (comment taken in the context I think you meant it :) )

I think Future are now being bombarded with "Save J-Tuner" emails, so hopefully the story won't end here. I used to subscribe to JPM, and read it avidly, but earlier this year, and before my connection to the magazine came about, I subscribed to J-Tuner and let my JPM one lapse. I occasionally buy Banzai, even though they were the first to feature my car, but for me JT was the cream of the crop, and was going from strength to strength. One popular comment I'm picking up on is availability of the issues, and it seems that the distribution network wasn't the best, but then with a very cost-effective susbscription package, this shouldn't have been too much of a problem. If they fix that issue, sales might increase to the point it becomes more of a viable financial prospect for Future.
