very cool - so what do you use the PC for - do you have GSM internet access ? ... or it is purely for music / media ?

thanks :) it is set up to use wireless if I plug in the adapter. I could use bluetooth for a net connection with my phone I guess, not really thought about that. The motherboard is designed for media use, so I do have some audio/video on it. Theres a dvd drive too.

this is whats quite cool, the ecu info:

I think the problem is we all like getting things, so once we order the next round of parts its the recieveing of them thats nice. As soon as they are on the car we want to find something else.

The car could come to a point where its finisehd, but i think it is human nature to try and develop something further and further. Evolution i suppose

The computer readouts are superb - now I want a PC in my car!!.

As to the never ending modding - I think it's the hunter gathering thing - when I was addicted to Ebay - the thrill was winning the item - even though when I received it I just chucked in the roof with all the other rubbish.

You see so many completed projects go up for sale immediately so they can start the next one.

Well I had a couple of minutes spare and thought of a way of doing the boot layout  So it's off to B&Q and armed with a couple of bits of mdf and trusty jigsaw i may get cracking in a few days. My pc will be in the boot with 7" touchscreen monitor where the stereo was. Will have to listen to mp3's as no room for stereo, but i think you can get a usb radio adaptor for fm radio. Trouble is i will have to take the car off the road for a while so want to make sure i have everything to do the install so i can get it done asap.

cheers Dave
