I'm now in the process of accumulating the bits and pieces to install a full pc in the car, running xp,sat nav,dvd,mp3,the Mitsubishi datalogging software and anything else i can. Hopefully have it done by end of November, but as i know sod all about pc's it maybe a bit longer :?

I think I've got the gist of the wiring being an electrician, all the software is on the pc ready to go. Just waiting for the touchscreen monitor to arrive and then its ready to start the install  . The main bit i'm stewing over is the actual layout of the install in the boot of the pc, amp, sub and sub amp. :?

was gonna offer a hand/chat dave but sounds like you got it covered :) it depends on how you want it to look, but to give you an idea, i installed mine in my glovebox. I have a psu, harddrive and motherboard all screwed to a piece of mdf that slides into the lid quite nicely and has plenty of airflow. Of course you can install in a case that can then be shown off. :)

Look forward to seeing the results :P

I seem to get to the point where the car is 'nearly' finished and then just find another problem... Always seems to be one step forwards and two steps back!

One day it will be finished and I'll stop messing around with it!

It is always too tempting to want a little more.

When I first got the car, it was great but like J said, it takes a couple of weeks to get used to it. Then the target was 300 BHP... I would be happy with that.

Then, thhe bar moved up again and 320 bhp and similar torque were the target. Got that and now so close to 350 bhp that it would be rude not to :)

It would be very interesting to drive a standard car again now to see how much it has changed from standard as a point of reference.

heres a pic once we had put it all together

it uses a megasquirt fuel controller so the pc is used quite a lot for tweaking that.

cars not really big power though yet so i wont bother with pics.

I can say that I never seem to finish a project, to the point where i want to move onto another one before finishing an existing project.
