Sounds like you all had a great day. I would have been there, but had prior arrangements with the GT4 owners club( was a very nice lunch  ) Some great pics there too.

I WILL be at the next one! Will give me a chance to test my new(by then) power :D

It was a bit of a surreal day from my perspective, the Golf's never missed a beat on track untill The current Superstox European and World Champion managed to brake it after 5 laps :o
Fortunately the Honington fire crew were cutting up a Ford Mondeo that they kindly let me remove the gear linkage from (nice work chaps :-D ), and with the kind assistance of Mr Hudson we managed to "adapt" a linkage bush to fit!
I was quite impressed with the circuit but I found that the 1st corner was very slippy in the afternoon session and managed to flat spot the NSF under braking during the last session.
Nice to see Woody come along but it was just a shame he wasn't there all day in the fez.

Finally a big thank you to goodap for helping with the worlds quickest CV joint change

Was a great day.
I realised that my speedo is about as reliable as a cheap watch as i went over the speed trap on the vmax with 170mph on the speedo i was gutted to see it was only 152mph real speed.

Dan your car should be made illegal for being so brutal! 8)

Great to spend the day with everyone and the club did seem to get some good attention.

Trev you need to be put in a padded cell as your driving is nuts!! Good effort!! 8)

Jim i have just been reading through the thread and i was going to say that you was Army as the RAF dont have a sense of humour!!

Only down side for me was that i have wrecked my clutch on the 1/4 mile.
It slipped like mad in first gear and is now wrecked but i would rather it go there than it go in the middle of a track.

Cant wait for the next one.

Nice to see one of the 'prettier' cars being used in anger, just got to work on Gareth now :) 152 with a crap clutch is still pretty good though mate.

i dont normally take photos at car days, because im usually far too busy on track or blagging paxlaps, but i couldnt let this go by without a cheeky snap.

no idea who it is, but i guess you were knackered out from a day's racing :)

that event was the first time i met any of you and you all exceeded my expectations. theres just something about getting a load of high powered cars together and taking them on track for a good thrashing. i only wish my shed hadnt broken down the night before or i would have taken it on track once i saw how much fun you were all having.

thanks to stuart for taking me down the vmax twice - appreciate it :) - trev ("rolly" - as i said, i hoped you wouldnt live up to your name on track!) for some very entertaining driving - ian (i think) in the RK tuning skyline which we were chasing and then duncan for taking me out on his laps :)
