After being off the road for a while the GTR is back in norfolk :-D

I sprang an oil leak after TOTB and it had started to smoke so I packed it off to RK Tuning to see what was what. The oil leak, which was very bad, was the rear main oil seal and the smoke was due to the turbo :( .

So now the T70 has been completely rebuilt from scratch and its back on song. The gearbox was whipped out and a more heavyduty oil seal was replaced.

I have to admit,

I dont know a great deal about Turbonetics turbos other than Ron likes 'em and they spec some seriously silly stuff if you want monster power.

But why do you call your car the lag monster ?? Is it that you are not really pushing the turbo hard ?? as most GTRs I have driven with small injectors are usually pretty nimble and spin up relatively fast - as the turbos are obviously smallish which is why they dont need large injectors.

Other than that it looks very nice - I love the Tomei air scoops.

Cheers,

J.

Hello Jay,

The term lag monster is abit of an 'in joke' with a couple of lads on here, but compared to my R34 twins it is very laggy. There is very little boost under 5500 rpm so it feels very laggy but the hit is worth the wait  It is quite a big turbo to get spinning and when I can afford it I will get some HKS cams to help spool up but at the mo I'll make do with the 'truck type' set-up :-D :-D
