Yeah I agree, I hope the hamster pulls through.

He is everyones favourite Top Gear presenter after all !!!

I really hope the hampster pulls through.
Annoys me how people are questioning whether he should have been driving such a car, he knew the risks and did it because that is what he loves doing.

Nice that the other presenters had visited him.

Will it mean Top Gear will have to stop doing the risky stunts now ?

Its sounding like he is getting better slowly.

I would have to say that, after reading this evenings papers, it is highly likely that this will be the end of Top Gear if Mr Hammond doesn't recover.

This goes into more detail and shows the first pictures of the wreckage. The distance from the runway gives an indication of the speed involved. You have to question his level of preparation.

Very sad news indeed, top gear wouldnt be the same if he had to leave.

But to anyone who has run elvington, its not exactly the smoothest surface for doing 300mph.

Lets hope he gets through ok with no lasting bad effects.

I heard hes up and about, Jeremy Clarkson went to visit and told him the reason your here is because your a crap driver. Hammond smiled.
Hes expected to make a full recovery, phewww.
