sdminus,
Im afraid you cant use it as a piggy back ECU in the form of adding fuel over and above what your original ECU controls. The MS ECU is a stand alone item that can control fuel and or spark of verually any EFI engine. The RX7 ECU is well know for being a rather bad item, there have been a lot of people going over to MS, indeed we added the "Trailing spark" function to MS especially for the rotary engine. im no expert on rotaries Im afraid, but I do know of a guy who has fitted loads of MS's to them, if you need his email let me know,

ohhh,
I guess I should add that I can help with some tuning questions, especially ECU's etc, I was heavily involved with writting the Megasquirt Extra firmware, designing a lot of the circuits for the Extra stuff, etc, etc, so any questions I would be willing to answer.

ok. i am perfectly happy with my power fc at the moment. any upgrade there would only be to motec or haltech. i was only going to use it for water inejction control becasue i dont have a spare PWM output on the power fc. also i cant mirror the injector duty from the primary injector because they are staged. the rotary ecu is not just as simple as adding a trailing spark plug. The fuel map works differantly to. i know a few guys in the US run the ms

Thought it might be worth mentioning the missus has a 14' catering trailer that we take to some events/meets if enough people are going. Burgers, bacon sandwiches, Hot dogs, hot and cold drinks and so on. She operates this Monday to Friday 0700-1700 at a regular pitch but if it is needed for any meets outside of working hours, weekends etc for track days and such like let me know and we could provide refreshments :-D
