MY03 WRX

Post by dannyboy »

Thought I'd add my little project on here.

My original aim for the car was drivable "early" power but I'm now bored and want big power again.

This is everything I've done since October.

OK just picked up an 03 WRX Blobeye for my next car and although its got quite a few additions already it needs a serious make over to bring it up to my previous cars head turning standards.

Here's whats on it so far...

18" Oz 10 Spoke Anthracite Wheel
Prodrive Bunny Ears rear spoiler
Prodrive Front spoiler
Prodrive side arch spats
Prodrive/Momo gear knob
Prodrive/Momo handbrake lever
Prodrive back box
Stainless door steps front and rear

Below will be each mod as they're added.........

First mods are underway. Fitted some Tien S-Tech springs over the weekend.

Big thanks to Scoobyshack for letting me use the workshop and Andy & Nath for giving me hand fitting them in the pitch black (power cut )

Ride hieght is absolutly perfect, much lower than Eibachs and can still hit all the speed bumps round here at 30mph without taking out the front splitter. Best of all its not noticably harder either and Clare hasn't even noticed the difference :D

Bodyroll is now non-existent and it no longer nose dives on braking or lifts on acceleration. Its still too soon to judge wether they have improved the terrible understeer as it hasn't been to Autotest yet for the alignment but its going in Thursday. Will update when thats done but I suspect I may need some adjustable ARB's before its handling like a classic ;)

Just some camera phone snaps for now but you get the idea...

Had the car on the rollers today using my prize winnings from the Children in Need Raffle. Many thanks to Clive for helping us raise so much money.

Anyway it hasn't been remapped but its understandable why I thought it might as we got a very strong 252.8bhp/239.2lbft Shocked

The only mod is the Prodrive backbox so understandably pretty chuffed with this Very Happy :D

New downpipe arrived today. I got a really good deal on it so wasn't expecting much but the quality is truely supurb.

My supplier may well be advertising on here soon and also supplying Scoobyshack so expect to see more details on this and other tuning goodies soon.

Still the most impressive sounding Impreza (when the valve is open) Shame about the comedy caravan but at least it's got loads of coverage for the club and it detaches

The post or the mods? :D
Probably about the same time, although I hope Danny would have copied and pasted it from SC.

Yeah Stu's right. I've kept a diary of it on SC which I add to every time I get something new.

Today I added the new headers and also put on the missing images of my exhaust cutout.
