I've seen another car I want .... an RX7

Post by Ben »

So would you sell a GTR to buy an RX7.

I've driven both and love them both - they have attributes that the other doesn't.

Only concerns being - is the R32 GTR going to raise in price as they become more popular and good one's harder to fine.
Or will the RX7 start going back up in price.

Off the line my traction gives me a two car lead against Gareths RX7.
Rolling start in 2nd, his car is much quicker.

I reckon I could get enough for my car to cover the cost of the one i've seen.

15,000! miles on the clock.

So tempting ...

This one?

I would have thought that this one would be slower than Gareths (and yours for that matter) as the performance mods are minimal. I love RX7's and this one looks stunning. A much newer car than yours with lower mileage to boot. Would I change a GTR for an RX7? Yes, if I was bored. Just bear in mind that you'll want more power within 6 months maximum.

I just think it looks awesome .. yes it's going to be a bit slow to start with.

It's so hard .. reality is it would probably take to long to sell the R32 and I wouldn't get what I know it's worth.

I think I need to convince Jo that instead of the 350Z we're planning on getting in the future that a nice RX7 would suit her.

I'm guessing though If I had an Rx7 already - I'd be asking the same question about whether or not I should buy an R32 ...

Before I had my R32 - just getting one was what I desired - now I've got one my desire is for shiny new parts.

I guess none of us will ever be satisfied and will always want something else or what we have to be better.

What year is your R32 on as the RX7 is only a 1992?

Mine is a 1991 ... so there's not much in it really .. but I know that that car would have been about 14K only 12 months ago based on the average prices that Newera were selling them for.

I've had it now since March 2005 but only covered 5600 miles or so.

And it's only been near stage 1 for the last 500 miles.

These sort of decisions are so hard to make. I could afford to have both but that would mean I have 3 cars !!! .. and I don't even use the two I've got as I walk to work.
