Says based on emissions !! .. I was hoping that by the time the emissions came out of my car there would be nothing left !!! ... :)

I'm guessing they would base it on the current catogories ... mine now falls in the same as the softroaders !! ..

To be honest these sorts of proposed changes all tend to be bo**ocks. I fully appreciate that there is no smoke without fire but come on, who can afford to pay that? Whilst we're on the subject of government scare tactics the 'leaked' news of paying by the mile and that this may lead to bills of

Yeah and they break down all the time so you won't spend much on petrol and you can get a limited mileage policy cos they're always in the garage :wink: ( I'm joking. I couldn't think of a better reposte)

Scott, think someone's jealous you can get an engine rebuild for the cost of this potential new road tax ;)

Seriously, it's all well and good for politicians to talk about this stuff but it's not exactly election-winning. Anything that hits people's wallets that hard simply won't turn into reality - it'd be the poll tax riots all over again!
