I have spoken to Bren and Gary @ AP (at length) about these and he is still playing with certain factors. Once the quirks have been ironed out, they look like amazing value. And in the site colours too........perfick 8)

I understand that they will be available pretty soon. Apex are hoping to do a group buy on the 330mm 8pots for around

Just on another point too,,, i have seem sooooooooooooo many people not even bother to upgrade brakes,, they do all this stuff to engine work to make it go quicker but dont even give a second thought to how they are going to stop the thing......

being very Unknowledgable about brakes, if you buy some uprated brakes like the afore mentioned brands, do you have to use their brake pads or can you fit a different brand like say EBC Red stuff?

braided hoses and good fluid is a must and will help most situations without having to change the pads.

Just recently fitted to mine:
- goodridge braided hoses
- motul racing fluid RBF600
- Ferodo DS2500 pads F&R

Massive difference :D

Another good bit to have is a brake cylinder support bracket, It strengthens the bulk head behind the brake pedal, so when you put your foot on the pedal, there isn't any flex, the effort you put into pressing the brakes isn't used to push the bulkhead, just the pedal. It tightens the whole thing up making the response feel sharper.

Stuart, that sounds a great price for the brake set, got 18" wheels so should be ok :D

GT4Dave, agree about the braided lines and fluid m8 8)

Boxy, i'm no expert m8, but I think you can use various manufacturers for your brake pads, certainly you could on my old Tarox and AP stuff.
You looking for sympathy, it's between shit and syphilis in the dictionary, you won't get any from me

You dont have to stick to same brands with pads and disks they are all interchangable,, you can go with what you like really,,, if you want the EBC Green stuff or Red stuff,,, go for it,, will still work fine with no problems...

Thanks for that, I`m just thinking these manafacturers are clever and usually make things specific for use with their own products, hence you have to buy the parts from them.
