Its a fact that blue are lighter though. Reciprocating mass should be reduced wherever possible hombres.

Hmm...that must mean my car is almost so light it will floatstuartstaples wrote:Its a fact that blue are lighter though. Reciprocating mass should be reduced wherever possible hombres.
Yup, reciprocating mass is very important, that why my wheel choice is for strength and weight, and actually, if you take the total weight saving of the nuts over steel ones its a far bit, 20x 19grams = 380 grams (for alloy) For normal Subaru steel ones 20x 78 grams = 1.56 kg :!: :!:
Also, they do actually look cool 8)

Bit of an update
In August one of my big end bearings decided it had had enough, and let go in Germany, on the Nurburgring Nice and handy, so after waiting 3 weeks to get it shipped back I have removed the engine which has gone away to be built.
Needless to say, the usual has happened, went thro the first stages of investigation of just a simple re-build, then looked at the 2.5 option etc etc. and then moved on to a slighty "uprated build" which has now spiralled into a full forged build with extra bolt on bits, final spec is ever expanding but when it finally goesd back together it should be a awesome car that can handle track work and will love to rev
I will share more detail on the spec later. Its not gonna be a horsepower monster but I am looking into entry into next Year Time Attack, and competing insprints etc, so I am focused on a very responsive engine with no lag...
pics of the un-build:

The other parts I have bought to go on are:
AP Organic Clutch
Hybrid FMIC
De-Cat downpipe
DBA Slotted front discs (although these may be replaced with a big brake kit
also had a few bits of my engine powercoated to tidy it up a little.
Bits to get:
ECU not sure which way to go yet
Manifolds....seems to be a minefield of choices and varying results from them.
Will get some more pics up at the weekend as I have installed the FMIC core and a few other bits
Hopefully my engine is just about ready to come back, so i can get it back on the road again

I've been waiting for an update, well done mate. Can't believe you're being such a prick tease about the spec though
