Log In Issues

Post by duncan »

We are aware that some people are having issues logging into the website at the moment.

As yet we are unable to identify the exact cause of the issue but are working to resolve it.

Please bear with us whilst we find a fix :D

Yep, switched to Firefox too now fine ... shame though won't be able to access from work as we only have IE.

I'll be honest chaps and say that I have never had an issue logging into the site at all using IE, this has been at home and at work. Strange as I use the same Internet proxy at work as Ben.

The only issue is that its slow at times, but nothing like the MRC site.

So its fine for me.

It's still flaky ... Even suffered two failed logins this morning on Firefox .. very odd.

Had to try and logon using IE - then back to Firefox to clear the problem.

Once membership levels get a bit higher we will be moving to its own dedicated server - that will solve the speed issues (at the moment it is sharing with a couple of very busy websites)

I believe that the issue is related to cookies and those that joined the site early on have cached the old cookie - clearing cookies may solve the problem (it worked for me). This should not affect later users.

Still investigating though.

It seems to be cookie related - i've just cleared out my cookies on my IE machine and got in first time ...
