I like it, however it's not clear to me (and i'm a bit thick) .. who is the site really aimed at .. are we looking East Anglia mainly, and mainly jap metal.

Do you intend to charge for advertising as I have a few pontential businesses that could be of mutual benefit both ways, i.e. spray shop etc.

Also, I think a seperate buying guide section would be excellent, then you could pontentially have seperate guides for each model of vechicle.

I think the demographic is a harder thing to describe than to say it's purely for Japanese cars or for people from East Anglia only. It's more about trying to create a forum for drivers who love to use fast cars properly. Now whether that's trackdays, drag events, rallying, drifting.....whatever your chosen poison. We obviously can't be seen to advocate street racing but we all know it happens.

To give you an example, I'm going to Ten of the Best this weekend to enjoy not only the Evo's, GTR's and Imprezas but also the Corvettes, Vipers and the mad Dax if it's running. Fast desirable cars have something in their automotive DNA that the highly tuned Nova will never possess. That for me is the ethos behind bigpower.co.uk. Big cars with big power for big boys.

The way the site forms as we grow is largely down to you guys and the content you bring. I would like to try and keep the threads fun but informative wherever possible and I need your help to make that happen.

Advertising. Once we have a membership that justifies having and running advertisers we will charge a nominal fee for that advert. These rates are yet to be confirmed but I intend to listen to the companies that are interested in working with us on an individual basis for now. Within a couple of weeks we will make an announcement regarding several developments wich will be of benefit to all members.
Good feedback, keep it coming :)

Something that I've always found a problem with forums, is that lots of people chat to each other - and end up only actually knowing the logon name and when you head to a meet - it feels like lots of strangers because you simply don't have a face to put to a name.

How about something simply like a pic of the person in their signature - true most of you lot are probably really ugly and scare small children so probably wouldn't want other's knowing what you look like - but it would help me a treat in identifying you at the next meet.

Only a suggestion ... don't shoot me down too much.

could just have a members mug shot topic instead of where the avatar is, that way people can place their picture in there if they choose to or not. Just a suggestion

I am working on various improvements to the site - first one is the quick reply form for posts. :type:
