I agree with you Francis, I was thinking about this the other day. Plus if it did get nicked and there was minor damage or a blown engine would you claim on your insurance or doesnt it cover you ? ?

I've been paid out for the car so it is owned by the insurance company.

I was told that the engine and gearbox had been removed so if that was all. I was going to offer something silly like

I imagine if thieves blew up your engine or ragged the gearbox or both the insurance company would have to cough up for the cost of either to be replaced or repaired if economically viable as it could be classed as damage being done to it whilst stolen!!

Equally if your gearbox was shagged anyway or the engine was on it's way out, the car being stolen and then recovered cosmetically undamaged could be beneficial if you wanted to be that skanky

Not something i would ever condone of course!! :D
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Sorry to see the Scoob in such a bad state, at least the whole saga is at an end now and you know what happened ultimately.

5 large lads in a car going up a blooming steep track with sharp bends and even a hairpin (which Dunk kept saying.....its this corner.....no its this corner) and mudflaps that scraped was not an easy drive !!! :P

what annoys me most is how they took an awesome looking scoob - i.e. yours - and made it into that horrid looking thing .... I guess using the reg you'd be able to identify who the tealeaf is based on the fact it looks like they chose your car as it matched their requirements.
