I'll bear that in mind if I end up going down the seats route with mine. Thanks

The seats are now fitted and the harnesses and the new deep dish steering wheel the one thing with the golf is the front seats are on a really stupid set up so you carn't adapted the side mounts of the seats to them so bars have to be welded in.

Tryed them flat on the floor but sat to low.

So i cut up one of my glass carrying racks for the angle.

Mike
How much headroom, in inches, do you have with a crash hat on? Your method of fitting is far more straight forward than the method I had previously used.

Iam not sure but i wonted to be sitting in the right position but still have about 2 1/2 inch clearence. The thing with the golf is the dash is quite high and the angle of the steering is high.

But i have removed all the underside of the sunroof and all the mechanisem and have just fixed the top part in place.

Even with the braces welded in the seat can go another couple of inches lower .

Will have a proper look tomorrow.
