If you use wrap it still gets wet/soaked and moisture will always find it's way to the metal. That's not so good if you are running a mild steel exhaust/headers as it they get rusty and rot eventually, but i suppose if you had a mild steel system the coating would stop any rusting as once it's coated it should be there forever barring any stone chips/scrapes which you should be able to touch up periodically. That would make your mild steel exhaust system last a lot longer.
Being stainless steel though and apart from discolouration from heat i would hope my system lasts for ever anyway, and the coating will be an additional barrier against any corrosion/oxidisation.
If this stuff genuinely does what it says on the tin i will go into business (as a sideline) prepping and coating exhausts. I've been in recruitmenmt for over 20yrs and i would love a change of scenery that gets me out of this computer chair, off my computer and into the fresh air.
It's just such a messy business though prepping them due to all the Alu Oxide you get covered in and i can confirm this stuff is so fine it gets into every nook and cranny of your body!!
The spraying is the nice bit though, plus it smells good :wack:
