You sound a little excited mate :D Ha ha!

You with launch control sounds scary. I've found a nice engine by the way......something that would be just about ideal for this project but I'm not sure if I can let you have first dibs. The combination of 2 litres, bike carbs and 285 cams may be too much for my powers of resistance

Beans spilled

"2.0l 9a 16v
piper 285 cams
4 branch exhaust manifold
Kawasaki ZX9R bike carbs jetted to suit above,on custom inlet manifold
Megajolt mappable ignition running wasted spark.
all rolling roaded to give 170bhp and 160 lb ft. with a flowed head and a remap 185/190 may be possible. this is mated to a very good 020 gearbox with no crunches or whines."

Anglia Handling at Biggleswade are good for all straps, eye bolts, shackles etc.

They'll make straps to your sizes and cheap :)

Go matt black mate, that'd look the nuts on the black paintwork.

And these are for the mk1, right? :)

In my opinion, I'd go for a dark colour; maybe graphite of matt black and that's for two reasons.
1) I have tried to refinish lots of things over the years (chrome, zinc, copper and paint) and anything with a join that those wheels will be a nightmare to get a good finish. The brighter the paint, the more obvious the drips, stains and seepage.

2) Black looks fucking hard.
