Wow mate that looks really good. You've done well with this MR2, the colour looks great in the sun !!
You just need some proper suspension on it now :)

update, only a small one though. After 137k miles, my original clutch has now seriously started to die, you can drive around slowly, but thats about it :( now i need to save up and get it changed (this is where i get a quote from APT :D )

Now there's a surprise :smilielol5:

You'd probably have got to 200K were it not for a couple of excursions to the wilds of Northamptonshire :)

Whats up with the clutch mate? Slipping or pedal dropping? Mine was believed to be the clutch by previous owner but i got it and replaced seals in master cylinder and all better! They are hydraulic and can be problematic...

its starting to slip a bit, you boot it down a gear and the revs jump right up and then judder down then bite and accellerate, tbh i think its the pressure plate going. but i will have a look at those seals :smash:

i thought i should update this topic :)

met up with Stu on saturday and had the car up in the air for its long over due fluid change and to inspect the front underside of the car to find this phantom knocking. all went well, found a few loose bits here and there but i finally found the noises i was looking for, both front droplinks basically had it. one had a bow in it, and the other had a nasty 30 degree bend in it and they had come loose too. so the answer, new ones from camskill :) should come sometime this week, then the car will be up in the air again to grind off the old, and fit in the new :smash:

so whats next i hear you mumble ;) well as some of you know, me and the blue jap n/a box are going to compete in the toyota sprint series next year  so that means we need some sprint mods.
Clutchmasters clutch (either fx100/200/300)
hopefully some semi decent part worn toyos
grooved disks
EBC yellow stuff pads/carbotech XP8
Bucket seat (need something with a bit of extra purchase :D open to suggestions)
Bride subframe to bolt into existing mounts

Dan if i were you, and i know it goes against the grain some but... I`d fit a genuine Toyota clutch only (you are not running mega hp) A genuine clutch will far outlast anything else. I`d save your money on grooved disc`s (on a sprint you won`t get the heat in brakes) so again standard is best from cold, Spend your money descent tyres and a good seat. And anything else you could do to up-rate the suspension?

good points Russ. ermm uprating the suspension, i already have whiteline arbs that are poly bushed, i dont want to stretch to coilovers, that would be overkill for what im doing or ever will do. so maybe lower/harder springs?
