Question for Skyline owners

Post by boxy »

Anyone know if the R32, R33 and R34 GT-R models all have the same bonnets? I.E Can you fit one on either of them?

I'm guessing not because the shape of the lights is different on all of them.

But them I'm not a Skyline expert.

My vote is no.

Nope, in the same way that you cannot fit non-GTR's with GTR bits - R32, R33 and R34's are totally different shells - i've seen an R34 GTR front on and R33 but i'm sure it wasn't a bolt on.

The bonnest are not interchangeable.

However GTR and non-GTR bits are interchangeable if you do them a section at a time for the same model year - eg front end of 32gtr will fit on front end of 32gts with enough tinkering and so on. And there is always BeeRacing (BeeR*) who specialise in the transformation R324, 334 and Stagea kits which make them look like they have 34 front ends.

Taff has the only kit officially sold outside of Japan (you normally have to get the Bee factory to fit the kit onsite for you) as far as Im aware, and SteveN off GTR Register has a friend who has just bought one of the Original BeeR demo cars i believe. So there should be a couple of "proper" ones floating about next year. I fancied one myself but i always have eyes bigger than my wallet so it had to go on the back burner for now !!!
